2-bed 2-bath detached single-storey home in The Villages, in sunny Central Florida (about 60 miles north of Orlando). Only dates available: July 15 to August 31, 2015. Minimum booking of 2 weeks: 2 weeks: £500 3 weeks £600 4 weeks £700 5 weeks £800 6 weeks £900 The rental cost works out between £21 and £35 a night depending how long you stay. The rental fee is inclusive of all taxes, utilities (TV, trash, lawn service, local & national phone service), a copy of the Daily Sun newspaper each day. Plus use of our 2-seater gas golf cart. You can travel straight out of the garage in the golf cart and go shopping, eat out, see a movie or play golf. A £300 security deposit is required within 7 days of booking to secure the booking. This is returned 14 days after departure, minus £60 for a departure clean and £34 optional temporary resident ID (see full details below about our rental policy). The Villages is an amazing place to visit. It's a great place to chill out or use as a jump-off spot for touring around Central Florida. And if you love golf...well, don't get me started. It truly is a golfer's paradise. During the six weeks we are available you can play 18 holes of golf on any of the 12 championship courses for between * $25 and $31 before 11am and for between *$18 and $21 after $11. This is way cheaper than you will find around the Orlando area. * This is the discounted rate if you opt to pay the $50 (£34) for a temporary ID. This is an ID card that gives you the same discounts and privileges as a resident during your entire stay. It is valid of two people. Without it, expect to pay about $5 each extra per round. So if you are want to play a lot of golf, it is worth having. And you can play on any of the more than three dozen executive courses (9 holes - graded 1-4 depending on their toughness) for FREE - with an ID pass. OUR HOME Our home is in a adult gated community. (Under 19s can only stay for a maximum of one month a year). It sleeps 4 and is only available to non-smokers. Also no pets are allowed, apart from goldfish (my little joke). The living room, dining area and kitchen are open plan. The living room has a vaulted ceiling with a ceiling fan, a 2 & a 3-seater sofa, 37” flat screen TV with HD-DVR, DVD, computer & high speed internet. Also a library of DVDs, books & games. The dining area has a table with six chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, oven, microwave, dishes, mixing bowls, kettle, cooking pots, serving bowls, glasses, cooking pots, pans, cutlery, ovenware, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, & everything else you might need. Master Bedroom includes a king size bed, armoire with flat screen TV with HD-DVR, ceiling fan, chest of drawers, 2 side tables, lamps & clock/radio, a large walk-in closet, & a master bathroom with a separate room for the large walk-in shower & WC. Guest Bedroom includes a queen size bed, two side tables, clock/radio, chest of drawers, & large closet. A bathroom including a tub & shower is located next to the guest bedroom. The house includes WIFI, washer & dryer, iron & ironing board, vacuum, pool towels, remote controlled garage door screen, linens & towels. The home is supplied with paper towels, toilet paper & household cleaning supplies to get you started. Lanai (12’ x 20’) is fully furnished with patio furniture, also a gas grill. OUR GAS GOLF CART Night-driveable with side curtains. Insured to carry 2 passengers & 2 golf bags. The cart is covered by a road assistance policy - a 24-hour golf cart rescue service and has El Tigre Legacy seats for added comfort. OUR RENTAL POLICY A £300 Security Deposit is due within 7 days of booking as a retainer against any damage or excess or unusual wear and tear by the renter (this includes lost gate cards, garage door opener and house keys). This deposit is returnable within 14 days of departure if home is left as found. Renters have the option to obtain two temporary resident IDs. These give you the same privileges as residents for all amenities. This means no green fees on any of The Villages 9-hole executive courses and discounted golf on the 18-hole championship golf courses. No rental deposit is required at booking on top of the security payment. Full rent sum is due for payment no later than 60 days prior to the commencement of the rental period. Once paid, the full rental amount will be refunded in part or whole upon cancellation only if the home is rented for part of or for the whole of the cancelled rental period. Check in time is 2 PM on the 1st day of the lease. Check out time is 11AM on the last day of the lease. A neighbour & full-time resident of The Villages cares for our property. OUR VILLAGE Summerhill is in a great location near Hway 466, half a mile from Glenview Golf & Country Club, a short ride to 2 town squares (cinemas, restaurants, shops and free nightly live entertainment). It's within walking distance of adult, heated pool and minutes from the county library, also dozens of shops and restaurants at Southern Trace Shopping Center & Buffalo Ridge, including Super Walmart. Also close to numerous executive golf courses (play for free with Temporary ID) and championship golf courses (reduced green fees with ID pass) Many restaurants a short golf cart ride away include Olive Garden, Bonefish Grill, Red Lobster, Perkins, Beef O’Brady’s, Golden Corral, IHop, Bob Evans, Crispers, China Buffet, Steak & Shake, & Wendy's to name a few. Play golf, tennis, pickleball, swim, watch polo, rest by the pool or enjoy free entertainment at three town squares nightly from 5 to 9 PM. Enjoy the 100+ restaurants accessible by golf cart.
